Job Summary

The Freelance Content Writer will bring their experience as a writer to a growing team of ambitious, talented and creative freelance writing professionals. You will work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment and as such must be comfortable working with deadlines. The Freelance Content Writer is creative and enjoys writing about various topics and is comfortable performing the required research to craft compelling articles. You work well independently and as part of a team. You have exceptional time management skills and enjoy creating articles, blogs, and content for websites and other collateral.

Job Description/Requirements


  • Writes compelling articles for the client’s brand
  • Conducts own research or interprets research briefs to gather data needed to write documents.
  • Ensure each content piece is appropriately referenced and proofread for grammar, spelling and context.
  • Ensure any relevant keywords, interlinks and external links are included.
  • Submit all content pieces to the online project management system.
  • Escalate any issues related to projects to management.
  • Use industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to deliver top-quality content for a global audience.
  • Communicate and cooperate with a writing team, including program managers and editors.
  • Follow project schedules and adhere strict deadlines to ensure timely delivery of content pieces.
  • Use search engine optimization (SEO) practices to maximize the visibility of content pieces.

Required Qualification & Skills:

  • 2-3 years of freelance content writing experience.
  • Proficient in English (US) in both written and oral communication, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions.
  • Proven record of excellent content writing
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with different objectives at the same time.
  • Complete adherence to the writing scope and guidelines for each content piece assigned.
  • Strong research skills and ability to summarize complex data.
  • Ability to work remotely and with reliable internet access.
  • Strong self-management and commitment to succeed.
  • Strong time management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, and change management as necessary.
  • Proficiency with writing programs, such as Google Docs and Microsoft Word.
  • Comfortable using project management software or willingness to learn.

Nice To Have:

  • Prior experience working with International clients indifferent time zones.
  • Experience working with English-speaking clients in the US, UK, Canada and others.
  • Copywriting skills to create compelling website copy.


This is a subcontracting arrangement. Writers are paid per article with compensation released on a bi-weekly commission cycle.
