Makosa is a West African themed restaurant with a modernized twist to traditional West African cuisine. It caters to guests looking for incredibly rich textures, delectable cuisine and provides a fusion of fine dining concept with elevated traditional African flavours. Under the Groupe Sebastien Brand, we are looking to hire a Floor Manager to oversee the operations of Makosa.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Floor Manager's responsibilities include overseeing the activities of staff by training and supervising them on fine dining qualities and expectations whiles curating unique dining experiences for customers.
To be successful as a Floor Manager, you should demonstrate effective management skills and fine-dining experience. Ultimately, you should be able to achieve exceptional customer service and ensure that customers have a pleasant experience.
Managerial
• Manage, supervise, and ensure staff uphold standards of customer service and company policies.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Reviewing customer surveys to develop and implement ways to improve customer service.
• Resolving customer complaints in a professional manner, by answering questions and providing timely information.
• Ensure all security protocols are followed for the safety of staff and customers.
• Curate experiences for customers while organizing special functions.
• Ensure effective communication with teammates, other departments and management
• Participate in meetings as required on a regular basis to share information.
Operational
• Ensure that all restaurant’s stations have their correct mise-en-place and that table settings are done according to the day’s requirements.
• Ensure that all restaurant reservations are observed, and necessary arrangements are made on time.
• Ensure that faults and defects are reported to maintenance and are resolved promptly.
• Ensure fair equitable discipline while complying with company regulations.
• Ensure that all statutory hospitality regulations are complied with.
• Ensure that all stocks and supplies are requested on time, correct stock levels are maintained and stored under optimum conditions.
• Ensure that operating equipment is used properly and not abused
• Hold regular on-the-job training sessions to make sure that staff perform their duties correctly.
• Give feedback to team and management on guest comments.
• Liaise with Finance to ensure proper balancing of cash drawers.
Qualification Required & Experience
REQUIREMENTS
• A bachelor’s degree or HND in hospitality management
• Additional professional certification from certified institution on Hospitality/ restaurant management
• Minimum of 2 years prior experience as a restaurant manager
REMUNERATION: The position offers a salary range of GHS3000 - GHS4000, and other benefits.
