Job Description

. The Project Manager is the liaison between sales, the customer and all inter-company departments. This person manages and communicates the appropriate resources required in order to ensure the customer and company goals are met as they relate to all aspects of the finished product which includes but is not limited to; creative, estimating, pricing, purchasing, receiving, manufacturing, finishing, quality, logistics and invoicing.



Job Duties and Responsibilities

Tasks related to this position may vary and are not limited to those listed below:

  • Follow and enforce established safety rules, policies and procedures always
  • Manages all opportunities and projects from ideation, printing, manufacturing through final delivery
  • Set and continually manage expectations with Sales, customers, team members and other stakeholders
  • Process Sales and Design specifications for estimates and customer review
  • Lead and Interact with design team to insure proper design/execution of opportunities and projects
  • Plan, Schedule and Communicate project timelines and milestones with Sales, customers, team members and other stakeholders
  • Utilize appropriate resources and personnel to create/distribute manufacturing specifications; review/approve factory ticket information as it relates to the specific project, its completion and delivery timing
  • Identify and process the requisition for Procurement of all required materials
  • Track project milestones/deliverables and communicate production progress to all appropriate Sales, customer, team members and stakeholders
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, while identifying potential crises and devise contingency plans
  • Track and Verify project cost, communicating adjustments as needed
  • Evaluate and assess project results; provide feedback and ideas for continuous improvement
  • Keep work area clean and well organized
  • Personify a “team attitude” and provide support to others as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Full-time role in a manufacturing plant/warehouse setting


Skill Set

  • Ability to drive results, problem solve and lead others in situations lacking necessary detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication as well as mentoring skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks at once
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Effectively manage time working under pressure with multiple interruptions
  • Must work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management
  • Experience in the corrugated packaging industry highly preferred
  • Knowledge and ability to read Structural CAD Drawings
  • Must have experience in wooden cladding
  • Substantial experience in finishes.
  • Experience in managing numerous finishing foremen
