Position: Finance Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, develop financial strategies, and provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, sound financial acumen, and the ability to manage teams across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure financial accounting and reporting in line with IFRS standards.
- Oversee timely and accurate month-end closing and reporting to Head Office.
- Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, accounts receivable/payable, fixed assets, and general ledger.
2. Management Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Generate ad hoc financial reports as required.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with shareholders and joint venture partners.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions.
4. Cost Management
- Ensure effective and efficient utilization of funds.
- Drive and implement cost-saving initiatives.
5. Compliance & Internal Controls
- Design and implement internal controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Review and strengthen internal control mechanisms as needed.
- Develop delegation of authority (DOA) for the unit.
- Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns.
6. Budgeting & Budgetary Control
- Prepare trade, HR, capex, and overhead budgets.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
- Report key deviations and recommend corrective actions.
7. Treasury
- Coordinate with group treasury for all treasury-related activities.
- Establish and manage local banking facilities at the country level.
8. Audit
- Lead and manage local external and internal audits.
- Ensure completion of audits within timelines and without qualifications.
- Implement action plans to address audit observations.
9. Risk Management
- Identify financial risks and design mitigation strategies.
- Lead and oversee risk management processes and reporting.
10. Team Management
- Train and develop local and expatriate staff to build a strong second line of leadership.
- Motivate and guide the finance team to maintain a positive and high-performing work environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- CA / ACCA / CPA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in a mid-management role with financial accounting and monitoring responsibilities.
- Proficiency in SAP-FICO or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural team.
