Job Summary
The “Sustainability Finance Business Partner” controls and optimizes the utilization of financial resources (activity & cash premium) in order to ensure that the organization's short- and long-term business objectives are achieved. Co-pilot with the business and provide meaningful decision support to the Sustainability manager whilst influencing and challenging key decisions. Act as the Finance interface to non-finance departments combining financial skills with sustainability business knowledge. Follow financial and business performance and undertake ad hoc financial analyses to drive business cases. Ensure integrity and financial control of the Sustainability business. The “Sustainability Finance Business Partner” proactively provides insights on business opportunities and risks as well as the respective financial impact to Sustainability Manager, Manager FBP country and country managing director. This job supports business initiatives aimed at improving operational and financial performance. This job gets guidance and support from the Manager, Finance Business Partnering country on complex activities, ad hoc requests, and key issues in the execution of duties. This role is based in Kumasi and reports to the Manager, Finance Business Partner Sustainability & Sourcing.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Management
- Manages the external communication with the finance team of sustainability suppliers (international NGOs, local micro finance companies, local suppliers)
- Leads from the finance perspective the monthly sustainability meetings and ensure adequate data / info is prepared and shared
- Acts as the interface and leads the quarterly external reporting process to GCA customers and COH
- Cost control:
- Performs operation and business reviews
- Develops, analyzes, and presents financial results to the business and management (Sustainability operations local/regional, Non-financial and financial data)
- Provides insights on financial improvement opportunities and supports the Sustainability LT to achieve them
- Reporting:
- Perform external reporting (to GCA & COH) on a quarterly basis
- Perform internal reporting (BOF) on a monthly basis.
- Budgeting:
- Support budget holders on preparing operating budgets (OPEX and CAPEX) twice a year (official BC budget submission in May-June, and updating of customer budget in Sep-Oct)
- Process improvement
- Supports the implementation of effective financial controls in the roll out of sustainability activities across all cooperatives.
- Ensures a good understanding and control of sustainability operations and that all necessary information is recorded in the appropriate information system
- Delivers improved procedures and follow up on internal/external audit report points raised regarding sustainability
- Strategic thinking
- Contributes to developing business strategy (right set up for activity implementation, right staff (internal vs external) to be used for activity implementation, customer reporting strategy)
- Facilitate strategic planning processes across the sustainability business
- Support the leader on preparing and determining business objectives, strategies, and tactics
- Act as strategic advisory interface to the Sustainability management team
- Perform any ad hoc activities requested by the sustainability manager or any relevant stakeholder
About You
- Bachelor’s / Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar
- 5-7 years’ experience in senior controlling, finance, audit as a supervisor (for stakeholder management)
- Experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B / manufacturing business
- Analytical with good knowledge of controlling and financial methodologies and reporting
- Adaptable to changing environment and drive continuous improvement initiatives regarding processes, technologies, and organization
- Technical proficient (e.g., SAP – ERP systems, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google-based applications knowledge
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives regarding processes, technologies, and organization
- Leadership experience (Drive to Deliver, Dealing with People, Shaping the Business) and promote knowledge sharing organization-wide
- Fluent in English business proficiency (written and spoken), French is a plus
- Perform any ad hoc activity requested by Manager, FBP country or any relevant stakeholder (Sustainability Manager…)
- Willing to travels as required within Ghana districts.
