Job Description/Requirements
This position will also support the development, standardization and implementation of technical training (including development/mentoring of sales reps), application processes/protocols and commercial tools, technical information capture, development and dissemination of best-practice sharing, assist in the preparation of commercial proposals and lead in the preparation of external case histories and technical presentations and papers.
Duties & Responsibilities
Maintaining the highest safety standards to ensure there are no incidents or accidents in the working environment.
Account retention by developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with Key Decision Makers and managing the required communication protocols at customer sites with the key people.
Working with other team members and resource groups as necessary to ensure that customer deliverables are met and maintained
1.1. New Work
Performing initial survey work to establish unique customer site requirements when new application and equipment programs are considered. Being able to put a proposal together and completed for planning a trip, including all administrative and cost considerations.
Being able to assess unique customer site limitations and challenges, understanding and quantitively reporting what the scope of work would be required for Solenis application and monitoring equipment to be successfully installed and commissioned on site i.e. additional parts, spares, tools, ad hoc work and or other miscellaneous tasks required on site.
Working with the engineering manager to ensure the sourcing process of all parts of each project is timeously completed, subsequently planning, approval and implementing of each project from cradle to grave.
1.2. Routine Work
Perform all scheduled service requirements at our various customer sites on time and as scheduled by their manager.
Work with sales team to ensure sales growth at each customer site.
Work with sales representatives to develop day to day activities to secure and grow our business.
Ensure all needed communications are taking place with our customers including inventory, testing and equipment.
Focus on removing routine testing or / and service activities from sales representatives.
Provide all reports to customers in the assigned format in a timely manner.
Provide timely response on requests for information from customers and managers.
Monitor chemical inventory to ensure no run out situations take place. Make sure we have proper lead time for each product.
Check all feed equipment to make sure there are no issues.
First level maintenance on equipment.
Trouble shooting details:
Collection of samples of various process streams and conducting lab tests.
Analysis in process water, process reagent applications, boilers, towers, osmosis, waste/tailing water and other water treatment application in the environment of a Heavy Industry sector.
Reports and data management
Probe, scale coupons and other systems calibrations and cleaning
Manual backwashing of side-stream filtration systems
Review, maintaining and shock/slug dosing of stocks of chemical products
Review of the operation of chemicals measurement
Control equipment maintenance of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
Checking the operation of dosing pumps and all other equipment
Provide technical support to the operators at WTP and STP facilities

The Individual
Higher or Intermediary Education in the Engineering field is required or relevant years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Service experience in the Water treatment or Minerals Processing industry is a prerequisite.
Customer focus – Ability to fulfil customer needs and expectations. Must be professional and confident with internal and external customers.
Delivering Results – Deliver against strategic business KPI’s. Passionate about success and delivering operational excellence, whilst sharing best practice.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a true service attitude.
Electrical / Electrotechnical workman’s permit
English and Portuguese required (Native language will be an added value)
Field Training provided by Solenis.
Driving license
