Job Summary

To oversee the overall development, performance and maintenance of the factory’s activities to obtain maximum efficiency, production, quality, service and profitability for the organization.

  • Minimum Qualification: Diploma
  • Experience Level: Management level
  • Experience Length: 7 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to streamline factory operations
  • Overall responsibility for installation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment in the factory
  • Collaborating with other stakeholders to establish and execute quality processes
  • Responsible for the training, development and control of production and maintenance staff
  • Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues
  • Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers
  • Ensuring 100% of production targets and developing production plan that ensures optimum utilization of the plant
  • Handling and accounting for all raw materials used for production
  • Ensuring and implementing effective quality control systems and procedures
  • Ensuring that discipline, safety rules and regulations are adhered to on the factory floor Etc.


Qualifications and Requirements:

Educational:

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized tertiary Institution
  • Certificate in Industrial Management will be an added advantage

Other Competencies:

  • Knowledge in Production and Inventory Management as well as Quality Control
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory setting
  • Sound knowledge of industry-specific equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
  • Demonstrate awareness of occupational hazards and effective implementation of safety precautions
  • Sound experience of lean manufacturing principles and up-to-date knowledge of current manufacturing technologies
  • The ability to multi-task
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills


Must have seven (7) to ten (10) years working experience with, at least, four (5) years in a managerial role
