Factory Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate reporting of factory financial information in accordance with IFRS and applicable tax laws.
• Direct Material Costing, this involves will involve reconciliation of raw materials receipts, issues and usage, finished products and work in progress.
• Effects stock adjustments after stock count and ensure variance analysis on major stock losses as well as usage variances.
• Work alongside the production team to provide accurate production costs by material overhead. Assist factory management in making entries in ERP.
• Budgetary planning and control of factory overheads.
• Work closely with sales and production team on demand and production planning process.
• Must have financial accounting, management accounting and tax accounting skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a strong team player, highly motivated and able to work under pressure during peak periods.
• Ability to work extra hours as may be required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent report writing skills.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar role.
• CIMA/CIT/ACCA.ICA part qualified or studying toward professional accountancy qualification or equivalent will be an advantage.
• Previous manufacturing experience will be an added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.
• Must have good knowledge of in supply chain, finances and factory process.
• Good knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft excel and Microsoft word required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
