What will you do?

The Office Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the office facilities and compound. This includes overseeing the servicing of generators, repairing and maintaining the office building, and ensuring all facilities are functioning optimally to support a productive work environment. The role also involves managing payments related to office facilities and ensuring they are completed on time.


Key Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance and Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the office facilities, ensuring all areas are well-maintained and functional.
  • Schedule and supervise regular servicing and maintenance of the generator (genset) to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
  • Address and repair any broken or damaged parts of the office building promptly.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the office premises to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Oversee office projects including restructuring and renovation, ensuring timely and successful completion.

Utilities and Payments Management:

  • Monitor and manage utility services such as electricity, water, and internet to ensure continuous availability.
  • Ensure timely payment of all office-related bills, including utilities, maintenance services, and rent.
  • Maintain accurate records of all facility-related expenses and payments.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure the office environment complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols, including emergency procedures and evacuation plans.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure adequacy of safety protocols.

Office Operations Support:

  • Coordinate with other departments to support their facility-related needs.
  • Manage office supplies and equipment to ensure availability and functionality.
  • Assist with other office admin duties as required.

Budget and Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the facility maintenance budget.
  • Track expenses and provide regular reports on facility-related expenditures.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of services.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to conduct payments and make budget approvals when needed.


Who you are

  • HND or Bachelors Degree from a recognized university.
  • 1-3 years proven experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle emergencies effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
