Role & Responsibilities:
This position will support operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and optimizing all facilities and manufacturing equipment including but not limited to construction, painting, plumbing, welding, heating/cooling, automation and fire protection systems in a safe and orderly fashion.
This position creates value for the facility by performing preventive and corrective maintenance leading to increased up-time and reliability, thus helping the facility to meet their production and quality goals.
Results / Accountabilities
Create and implement automated solutions for manufacturing, testing, data analysis, and other processes. Integrate sensors, controllers, actuators, and other hardware components with software interfaces to create a complete automated system that performs tasks accurately and efficiently. Conduct thorough testing of automated systems to ensure they function as intended. Identify and resolve any issues, bugs, or errors in the automation process to maintain reliable performance. Monitor and analyze the performance of automated systems to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency enhancement. Implement improvements and upgrades to existing automation solutions. Work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, software developers, quality assurance, and production personnel to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions within the overall workflow. Create detailed documentation including design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance guidelines for the automated systems. Ensure that automated systems adhere to safety regulations and industry standards. Implement fail-safe mechanisms and emergency protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of personnel. Provide training and support to operators and maintenance personnel to ensure they are proficient in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated systems. Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) is typically required.Preferred skills:
A bachelor’s degree in engineering (Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) is typically required. Proficiency in programming languages, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) development, sensor integration, and other automation technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues in automated systems and implement effective solutions. Effective communication skills to collaborate with various teams and present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines within a dynamic environment. Practical experience with automation tools, software platforms, and hardware components.The incumbent should be able to demonstrate the following Competencies:
