Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for Elementary (Primary) School Teachers for Grades 1 to 5 located in Accra. The Elementary School Teacher will be responsible for curriculum development and lesson planning, teaching, and documentation in all subjects except French and Ghanaian languages. They will be a class teacher, expected to tactfully and efficiently manage teaching with excellent class management, all while making learning fun and building interest in subject areas in students. They will also be expected to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues. The ideal candidate is passionate about the job and possesses the ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a class and make learning an easy and meaningful process.

Qualifications

• Curriculum Development and Teaching Skills
• Experience in elementary (primary) education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient and nurturing approach
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• National Teaching certification
• Trained in GES Standards-Based Curriculum (2019)
• Trained in GES lesson planning modalities
• Computer literacy
• Living in or around Dansoman
• Experience in a similar role is a plus
• Experience with Montessori education is a plus
