Electrician

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
• Diagnose electrical problems and malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs.
• Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify potential hazards or defects.
• Ensure all installations and repairs meet the required safety and quality standards.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Test electrical systems and circuits using appropriate testing devices to ensure functionality and safety.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with all relevant regulations and electrical codes.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure they are in safe working condition.
• Provide recommendations for system improvements or upgrades.

Qualifications:

• HND/NVTI
• Proven experience as an Electrician, with relevant certifications or licenses.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools for electrical work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, heights, confined spaces).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid electrician’s license (if required by location).
