Economics Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging economics lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills through various teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities.
• Prepare and assign homework, assessments, projects, and exams to evaluate students understanding and progress.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, offering extra help when necessary.
• Stay updated with new developments in the field of economics and incorporate current events into lessons to make content relevant.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and coordinate interdisciplinary projects.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, grades, and behavior.
• Support students in preparing for external examinations and university applications, where applicable.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active student participation and respect for diverse opinions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience
• Prior experience teaching Economics within the British Curriculum
• Strong knowledge of economic theories, models, and current global economic issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage students and create a dynamic, supportive learning atmosphere.

Compensation:

• Competitive salary range: GHS 3,500 - GHS 4,000 NET per month (NEGOTIABLE)
• Note: Salary range applies to candidates with prior experience teaching Business or Economics within the British Curriculum
