Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Economics Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive lessons in economics, guiding students through both theoretical and practical aspects of the subject, and fostering a stimulating learning environment. The teacher will also assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging economics lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills through various teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities.
- Prepare and assign homework, assessments, projects, and exams to evaluate students understanding and progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, offering extra help when necessary.
- Stay updated with new developments in the field of economics and incorporate current events into lessons to make content relevant.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and coordinate interdisciplinary projects.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, grades, and behavior.
- Support students in preparing for external examinations and university applications, where applicable.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active student participation and respect for diverse opinions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Prior experience teaching Economics within the British Curriculum
- Strong knowledge of economic theories, models, and current global economic issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage students and create a dynamic, supportive learning atmosphere.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary range: GHS 3,500 - GHS 4,000 NET per month (NEGOTIABLE)
- Note: Salary range applies to candidates with prior experience teaching Business or Economics within the British Curriculum
