Job Summary
The Diaspora Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and mobilize the diaspora community in support of the Enterprise's mission. This will involve building relationships with diaspora leaders, organizations, and communities, as well as creating programs and initiatives to promote diaspora engagement and and philanthropy.

Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement diaspora engagement strategies: Design and execute plans to engage the diaspora community, including outreach, education, and mobilization efforts.
- Build relationships with diaspora leaders and organizations: Establish and maintain relationships with key diaspora leaders, organizations, and communities to promote collaboration and support.
- Create programs and initiatives to promote diaspora engagement: Develop and implement programs, events, and initiatives to engage the diaspora community, including fundraising campaigns, advocacy efforts, and cultural events.
- Provide support for diaspora-led initiatives: Offer technical assistance, resources, and support to diaspora-led initiatives and projects that align with enterprise's mission.
- Conduct outreach and education: Educate the diaspora community about the enterprise's mission, programs, and services, and promote opportunities for engagement and involvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Work closely with the enterprise's programs, development, and communications teams to ensure alignment and coordination of diaspora engagement efforts.
- Monitor and evaluate progress: Track and evaluate the effectiveness of diaspora engagement strategies and programs, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with diaspora trends and best practices: Remain informed about the latest developments, trends, and best practices in diaspora engagement and philanthropy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree: In a relevant field, such as international relations, development studies, or communications.
- Minimum 5 years of experience: In diaspora engagement, international development, or a related field.
- Proven track record: Of successfully developing and implementing diaspora engagement strategies and programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including diaspora leaders, organizations, and communities.
- Strong program management skills: Ability to design, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives.
- Cultural competence: Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and communities.
- Language skills: Proficiency in multiple languages, including English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree: In a relevant field, such as international relations, development studies, or communications.
- Experience working with diaspora communities: In the United States, United Kingdom, Africa, or other regions.
- Knowledge of philanthropy and fundraising: Experience with fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and grant writing.
- Familiarity with international development issues: Knowledge of global development challenges, including poverty, health, education, and human rights.
