Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Creating, improving and maintaining of our data pipeline architecture to create complex datasets. Implement and oversee quality metrices to ensure and preserve the business value;
• Proposing technical concepts to handle and process data generated internally and externally enabling advanced analytics and new products;
• Continuously look for improvements, increased scalability and automation of manual processes to accelerate consolidation and insight generation for hundreds of millions different data sets;
• Making sure data is separated, secured and meeting local as well as international data security and privacy standards;
• Close collaboration with data scientists and analysts to build products and to grow our customer base.

Requirements:

• You have gained first experience with building and optimizing reliable, scalable, mission critical data pipelines in a production environment;
• Knowledge and experience in SQL and relational as well as non-relational data bases;
• Personal must-haves: analytic mind, achievement orientation, sense of quality, flexible thinking and good communication skills. You are a self-driven team player with entrepreneurial touch and a passion for good software engineering and automation;
• You hold a degree computer science or a related field or you have equivalent qualifications or professional experience;
• You have profound knowledge and experience with Databricks, Spark, Python, Java / JEE or any other object-oriented programming language;
• Control of other development, scripting, and mark-up languages as for example XML, XSD, WSDL, Bash will be of advantage.
