1. Report and organize WCC Ghana Steering Committee
2.Responsible for overseeing the delivery WCC’s programmes in Ghana, including a 3-year UBS Optimus Foundation funded programme
3.Create plans with key milestones and measurable outcomes: track progress and adjust to meet the objectives, ensuring others are aware of changes and reasons for them
4.Maintain and develop accurate schedule of activities
5.Develop, in collaboration with WCC UK, monthly and quarterly work plans and budget forecasts
6.Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of workplans and budgets, communicating any significant delays or issues regarding implementation
7.Support colleague workers and subordinates achieve goals accordingly
8.Assist in the development of strategies to achieve project aims and objectives
9.Compile monthly narrative reports
10.Support in developing project reports as per funder requirements
11.Communicate progress with healthcare professionals and administrative staff within the project
12.Develop and maintain new relationships with individuals and organisations to further World Child Cancer’s aims.
13.Support WCC’s local and international partners, building strong working relationships to deliver shared goals and objectives
1.Support the in compilation of quarter financial reports
2.Report all expenditure to WCC, communicating any significant budget variation (overspend or underspent)
3.Guarantee that WCC UK and Ghana financial procedures (as per Finance Manual) are correctly implemented
Fundraising and communication:
1.Identify and develop partnerships with local supporters
2.Collaborate with local fundraising groups to gain support for the project
3.support the development of proposals and budgets for new funding opportunities
4.Maintain and develop databases of contacts and donors
5.Assist local fundraising groups to write letters and applications to local funding sources
6.Support WCC UK head office fundraising strategy and development of applications
7.Assist WCC head office with communication materials for use on the website and social media
Monitoring and Evaluation:
1.Assist WCC to develop a monitoring plan, ensuring its implementation and providing regular updates to the UK office
Organise and assist with regular monitoring visit and external evaluations
1. Post-graduate degree or equivalent experience
2.Substantial experience of project management including project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and narrative and financial reporting.
3.Practical experience of designing and implementing child health programmes, including experience of working with international, national, and local partner organization’s
4.Strong financial background including experience managing and tracking project budgets
5.Good written and spoken English

1.Relevant post-graduate degree in medicine, public health, or related subject
2.Proficiency in IT including the Microsoft Office Suite
1.Insight into the challenges of childhood cancer
2.Knowledge of the health, political, social, and economic context of Ghana and the development issues and challenges it faces
3.Experience of advocacy on public health issues especially non-communicable diseases
4.Fluency in any of the relevant languages in the region or other relevant languages.
