Cook/Chef

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate all menu items (breakfast, brunch, sandwiches, light lunch entrées, sides) with consistency and attention to detail.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Manage kitchen operations, including prep, cooking, and food safety.
• Ensure efficient use of ingredients and control food costs/waste.
• Collaborate with the owner to refine and adapt menu items seasonally.
• Train and supervise supporting kitchen staff.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with Ghana health regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef, or Lead Cook in a café, brunch restaurant, boutique hotel, or bistro or recent graduate of culinary school.
• Strong culinary knowledge in breakfast, brunch, and café-style menus.
• Familiarity with fusion cuisine, especially incorporating tropical, western, or African flavors.
• Skilled in operating within a small kitchen setup (space efficiency, multitasking, time management).
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistent results during peak service hours.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Professional, reliable, and a team player.

Nice to Have (but not needed)

• Pastry or baking experience.
• Experience  in cost control and vendor management.

Location: Cantonment, Accra

Salary: GHC 4,000 and above
