Responsibilities:

• Prepare a variety of local and continental dishes and pastries
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
• Ensure excellent presentation of dishes before they are served
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages

Qualification and Requirements:

• Should have a minimum of 2-3 years working experience as a cook with a bar, restaurant or hotel
• Having attended a catering school is a plus
• Should be well-kempt and have a clean appearance.
• Should have experience cooking a variety of local and continental dishes and pastries
• Should be able to maintain a clean kitchen and take honest stock
