Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of local and continental dishes and pastries
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- Ensure excellent presentation of dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Qualification and Requirements:
- Should have a minimum of 2-3 years working experience as a cook with a bar, restaurant or hotel
- Having attended a catering school is a plus
- Should be well-kempt and have a clean appearance.
- Should have experience cooking a variety of local and continental dishes and pastries
- Should be able to maintain a clean kitchen and take honest stock
