Role Overview
The Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality online and face- to- face training programs. The goal is to provide a very high standard of learning and for trainees to achieve fast progress in their work environment.
Key expectations include:
- Agree with subject matter experts on key topics for courses
- Identify innovative and effective ways to offer the courses in interesting and appealing ways for potential clients
- Develop modules for different courses by identifying industry- related challenges experienced by leaders
- Ensure learning is the core purpose of the curriculum area
- Market and sell eLearning courses
- Deliver computer-based training on Learning
- Management System
- Design tools to assess if participants are applying new knowledge learned on the job
Areas of Responsibility
- Assessment, Development, and Delivery
Key Activities
- Work with subject matter experts for ideas on learning objectives in order to derive targeted competency-based framework prior to the development of various courses
- Understand the instructional end goals and create content that matches them
- Coordinate the review/assessment of the current curriculum to ensure course/program meets the intended objectives and requirements
- Develop training materials including manuals, quick reference guides, instructional webinars, and web-based tutorials
- Constant review of the range of opportunities, making recommendations to ensure courses are aligned with learners’ needs, wider community opportunities, and business requirements
- Develop and maintain research database that may be utilized to develop and review curriculum
- Design and deliver workshops in partnership with subject matter experts as needed
- Monitor end-user feedback and systems development efforts to facilitate continuing improvement of documentation
- Develop a follow-up action plan to assist participants to effectively apply the tools learned on the job
- Integrate adult learning best practices and thought leadership into eLearning courses
- Market and sell eLearning courses
Partnership Management
- Work with a developer to create a Learning Management System
- Actively market training program in digital learning
Education, Language, and Qualifications
- Masters degree in education, instructional technology, instructional design or relevant experience in curriculum development, marketing and selling online courses, delivery of training materials and programs particularly eLearning/virtual curricula -Minimum of five (5) years
Competencies
- Excellent English language skills (strong writing, editing, and oral communication skills)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and instructional design skills
- Excellent Technical Writing skill that simplifies and facilitates end- user understanding and navigation of the course
- Ability to document training outcomes
- Ability to grow and maintain a database of clients
- Proven skill in working collaboratively with subject matter experts to produce and deliver curricula and professional development
- Excellent computer skills using MS Word, Excel, Google Slides, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience working with a Learning Management System will be an added advantage
- Ability to analyze digital marketing data and draw insights
