Job Purpose
The Communication Specialist (Digital Design) is responsible for managing and enhancing the visual representation of the institution and its affiliate entities across all media platforms, including digital, print, and physical branding. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality designs for outdoor signage, wall branding, promotional materials, and digital campaigns, ensuring consistency with the institution’s brand identity.
This role also emphasizes video production, animation creation, and end-to-end execution of branding projects, including physical installations such as wall signage, billboards, and branch branding.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Design & Content Creation
- Develop creative visuals for:
- Digital platforms (social media graphics, banners, website content).
- Print media (flyers, brochures, newsletters, posters).
- Outdoor branding (billboards, banners, outdoor signage).
- Design and oversee the creation of wall branding, directional signage, and other physical installations for branches and events.
- Create engaging video content and animations for marketing campaigns, internal communications, and events.
Physical Branding Management
- Coordinate the design, production, and installation of:
- Outdoor signage (illuminated signs, billboards, branded kiosks).
- Indoor branding (wall wraps, decals, window displays).
- Event branding (banners, backdrops, stage setups).
- Ensure all physical branding materials meet quality standards and adhere to the institution’s brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for the fabrication and installation of physical branding materials.
Social Media & Digital Content Management
- Plan, design, and execute visually appealing content for all social media platforms.
- Monitor campaign performance and recommend creative strategies for improving engagement.
Brand Management
- Act as the brand custodian, ensuring consistency across all materials, including physical and digital media.
- Provide branding input for branch launches, renovations, and corporate projects.
- Collaborate with affiliate entities to ensure visual alignment across shared campaigns.
Video Production & Animation
- Conceptualize and produce high-quality videos and animated content for promotional and educational purposes.
- Manage the full production process, including scripting, storyboarding, filming, editing, and post-production.
Event Support
- Design and manage event materials such as invitations, presentations, and branded merchandise.
- Provide on-site support for event branding and ensure consistency in visual communication.
Strategic Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to understand project needs and deliver creative solutions.
- Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and design teams for specialized branding projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Communications, Marketing, or related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in graphic design, video production, physical branding, and content creation.
Technical Skills:
- Design Tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Video Production: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or equivalent.
- Physical Branding Expertise: Understanding of materials, fabrication techniques, and installation processes for outdoor signage and wall branding.
- Familiarity with motion graphics and 3D design software (e.g., Cinema 4D or Blender) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Soft Skills:
- Strong creative and visual storytelling abilities.
- Excellent project management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
