Job Description/Requirements
The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources is seeking for qualified and experienced professionals to fill the under mentioned vacancy at the Ghana Boundary Commission.
Job Title: Co-ordinator
Reports To: Chairman of the Commission
Job Purpose
To achieve the commission's goals through strategic planning, implementation, management and day-to-day co-ordination of its activities
- Coordinate planning and implementation of programmes to ensure efficient boundary demarcations (land and maritime)
- Establish a database of all boundaries, mediation, international conventions on all issues incidental to the work of the commission
- Lead in negotiations, mobilization of social support and intersector agency collaboration
- Set up modalities for the resolution of disputes arising out of demarcations
- Providing leadership and guidance to successfully implement changes and improvement in the performance standards of the commission
- Work closely with other agencies to implement the strategic policies of the commission
- Produce reports on quarterly and annual performance of the commission administration to the commission
- Perform any other task assigned by the chairman of the commission
Qualification Required & Experience
- A minimum of postgraduate qualification in Maritime/Land/Geo-science related discipline from a recognized institution
- A minimum of 10 to 15 years of post qualification experience in the required skills inclusive 5 to 7 years in senior management position
- A membership of a relevant profession
