Job Summary

The Brand Activator/Ambassador will be responsible for promoting and growing the Sovereign Brands portfolio — including Luc Belaire, Bumbu Rum, and other SB brands — across Ghana. The role focuses on driving brand awareness, visibility, and sales through activations, events, and relationship building within ON and OFF trade markets. This includes visiting bars, restaurants, hotels, and nightlife venues to engage consumers, train staff, and ensure premium brand representation. The ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, and confident in social settings, with a passion for luxury beverage brands and strong presentation skills. Regular evening and weekend work will be required to support brand activations and events.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop Sovereign Brands Portfolio: Luc Belaire, Bumbu Rum & all SB brands that may be launched in Ghana – 40%.

  • Pro-actively develop the sales of the brands in your region in the ON/OFF Trade and Urban Market ensuring consumer relationships are not just established but maintained through a high level of service.
  • This includes visiting current and potential accounts - bars, restaurants, hotels, OFF Trade and nightclubs for the company's brands.
  • Spending significant amounts of time in nightlife-type accounts in nights and evenings to drive sales and build relationships will be required to be effective.


KPIs

  • Visit a minimum of 10 ON, 15 OFF Trade venues per week (based on a set call list).
  • Visit a minimum of 10 different “nightlife” type venues per month.
  • Conduct a minimum of 20 training sessions per quarter – targeting the top 20 outlets.
  • Assist Distributor in developing the brands in the ON trade by actively leading brand sales activations.
  • Luc Belaire and Bumbu listed and visible in the agreed top 20 ON trade venues in your region.
  • Host a minimum of 12 Luc Belaire/Bumbu nightclub/lounge sales activations (minimum 18 bottles sold per event) every 6-month period.
  • Achieve Bumbu cocktail and tot listings in 15 ON trade venues per month.
  • Motivating, training & educating key customers in the ON, OFF Trade and Distributor Team members to ensure: Brand availability, Brand visibility, Brand activation.
  • Work closely with Distributor team and OFF Trade sampling agency for weekly activities.
  • Create a ‘core’ sampling team of 4 staff who would activate our brands in the ON trade.
  • Recruit and have a good relationship with 10 Trade Militants i.e. bar/club owners, head-bartenders.
  • Activation responsibility for the events including organization, co-ordination and set-up. A very hands-on approach is required.
  • Ensure the brands are represented as per brand guidelines.
  • Representing and promoting the brands at all touch points (SB team, Distributors, Customers, Consumers, Press).


2. Sales Function – 55%

  • Work directly with the local sales team ensuring that they are informed of opportunities and are aware of the brands development and special edition promo packs.
  • Proactively source new outlets in ON, OFF Trade and Urban market working within the distributor’s sales guidelines and offers.


KPI:

  • Hit your volume sales targets for the week, month, year.


3. Reporting – 5%

  • Build monthly report, providing:

o Consumer and trade insights

o Competitive activity and market trends

o Showcase results of SB brands activations


KPI:

  • Complete and submit monthly SB reports, by the 5th of every month.



Profile of the Candidate

  • Motivated, self-driven, personable, presentable and articulate with an ability to communicate at all levels from bartender to Managing Director.
  • Experience as Brand Ambassador/Sales Rep/Trade Marketer would be a plus.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English.
  • Good planning, multi-tasking and organization skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, self-motivated who understands how to take the initiative but also must work well with others within a small team.
  • Excellent presenter with controlled communication.
  • Proven track record in a stand-alone role.
  • Experience with retailers and distributors within Ghana essential with established relationships in the ON, OFF a bonus.
  • Willing to travel extensively as required including nationally.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Natural interest for the W&S industry, previous experience essential.
  • Aware and active on social media.
  • International mind-set.
  • Understanding of Superior Quality Brands.
  • Computer literate, proficient with MS Office and building databases.


Location: Remote
Salary Range: Ghc 25,000/month
