Job Description/Requirements
We are seeking a diligent and steadfast individual with extensive experience in maintenance management.
The Assistant Maintenance Manager will overseeing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. This includes the technical upkeep of all facilities and equipment, as well as supervising the maintenance team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical experience, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
Technical Maintenance Support:
- Assist in performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all beach club facilities, including electrical systems, plumbing, lighting, pools, and outdoor areas.
- Help troubleshoot and repair technical issues related to equipment breakdowns, mechanical failures, and infrastructure problems.
- Support the Maintenance Manager in monitoring the condition of the building and outdoor spaces (e.g., cabanas, decking, furniture) and ensuring that all areas meet safety and aesthetic standards.
- Maintain and update maintenance records, including service logs, inspection reports, and repairs.
- Assist with the coordination of vendor services (e.g., pool cleaning, landscaping, pest control) to ensure quality service delivery.
- Team Supervision & Support:
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist in scheduling maintenance tasks and prioritizing urgent repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to club operations and guest experience.
- Provide guidance and hands-on support to junior maintenance staff during routine tasks or emergency repairs.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss ongoing tasks, upcoming projects, and any operational concerns.
- Help monitor and maintain safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency lighting systems.
- Assist in preparing the club for safety audits and inspections as required by local authorities.
- Assist in the maintenance of tools, spare parts, and supplies, ensuring that necessary materials are available for upcoming tasks, and ordering when necessary.
- Provide regular updates to the Maintenance Manager regarding team performance, progress on ongoing tasks, and any issues that need attention.
- Help prepare reports on maintenance activities, costs, and recommendations for improvements or upgrades
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have:
- At least 3-5 years of maintenance experience.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, in a high performance environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
