Accountant

• Maintain and update the company’s general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory regulations, tax laws, and internal financial policies.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Oversee payroll processing, statutory deductions (SSNIT, PAYE, VAT, etc.), and ensure compliance with labor and tax regulations.
• Assist in developing, monitoring, and managing the company’s budget, including variance analysis and cost control.
• Support external and internal audits by preparing required schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management for strategic planning and business growth
• Monitor cash flow, forecast financial performance, and ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
• Maintain accurate records for fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inventory valuation.
• Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company resources.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support operational decision-making.

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in FMCG or a related industry.
• Professional qualifications: ACCA, ICAG, or equivalent certification.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (a Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and Ghanaian tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to meet strict deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
