Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, and providing timely financial insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, sound knowledge of accounting standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Job Description/Requirements
- Maintain and update the company’s general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory regulations, tax laws, and internal financial policies.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Oversee payroll processing, statutory deductions (SSNIT, PAYE, VAT, etc.), and ensure compliance with labor and tax regulations.
- Assist in developing, monitoring, and managing the company’s budget, including variance analysis and cost control.
- Support external and internal audits by preparing required schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management for strategic planning and business growth
- Monitor cash flow, forecast financial performance, and ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
- Maintain accurate records for fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inventory valuation.
- Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company resources.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support operational decision-making.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in FMCG or a related industry.
- Professional qualifications: ACCA, ICAG, or equivalent certification.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (a Master’s degree is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and Ghanaian tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to meet strict deadlines.
