Accountant

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing periodic statements, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and
• commentaries
• Ensuring spending is kept in line with budget
• Prepares monthly statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating
• variances; summarizing data, information, and trends.
• Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions
• Responds to financial enquiries through gathering, analyzing, summarizing,
• and interpreting data.
• Ensure that salaries are paid on time and accurately. Also, that employee
• SSNIT, taxes and any statutory payments are made accordingly.
• Compliance with GRA filing requirements
• Working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions
• Preparing quarterly and annual financial reports
• Design and implement risk management, and internal controls
• Prepares special reports by studying variances; preparing budgets; developing forecasts.
• Updates job knowledge by keeping current with financial regulations and accepted practices; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the CEO

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or Accounting
• Relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, ICA, CPA, CIMA.
• 5 years working experience with strong excel background
• Master’s degree is a plus
