Job Summary

The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records of the company, including handling Tally data entry and supporting showroom administration activities. The role will require attention to detail, accuracy in financial reporting, and the ability to ensure smooth operations within the showroom. The ideal candidate should have experience with accounting software (Tally), strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of financial procedures.

Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Tally Data Entry:

Financial Record Keeping:

  • Perform data entry into the Tally accounting system, ensuring accurate recording of all transactions.
  • Update and maintain financial records, ensuring all entries are up to date and categorized correctly.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all data entered into the system, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and bank transactions.


Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly transactions within the Tally system to ensure they match with bank statements and physical records.
  • Assist in periodic reconciliation of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.


Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and generate monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for internal and external use.
  • Ensure that financial reports align with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.


Inventory Management:

  • Maintain records of inventory and stock transactions within the accounting system.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist in the reconciliation of showroom stock to ensure financial accuracy.


Showroom Administration:

  • Sales Documentation & Record Keeping
  • Customer and Supplier Management
  • Cash Handling & Banking
  • Administer Showroom Operations


General Accounting & Administrative Support:

  • Financial Compliance & Auditing
  • Payroll Support
  • General Administrative Support


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a retail or showroom environment.
  • Familiarity with accounting software, especially Tally, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Experience in showroom administration or retail financial operations is a plus.
