Job Title: Technical Projects Coordinator


Job Location: Tema, Greater Accra


Job Description

Spare part

  • Manage spare part procurement (local and international)
  • Manage the spare part warehouse
  • Analyze spare part movements, trends and advice management 


Maintenance

  • Support the Country Technical Manager across the full range of technical and project-related functions
  • Monitor, report on progress of projects and ensure all maintenance procedures are complete and up-to-date
  • Provide advice on systems and strategies for management of downtime
  • Support training and development of Technical staff members
  • Pilot all technical surveys requested by the Senior Management Team 
  • Initiate Technical process improvement projects
  • In liaison with the Regional Technical Manager, pilot the annual investment plan
  • Coordinate Technical project management activities, resources, equipment and information with adherence to standards of scope, budget and timeline
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate technical project status to all participants
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors


Food Safety

  • Be abreast with policies /procedures related to food safety in his/her work environment


Qualification and Requirements

  • Minimum of an/a HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • At least 4 or 5 years’ hands on experience in the management of Maintenance/Mechanical projects in a manufacturing company or related field
  • Proactive
  • Should be a Mechanical Engineer
  • Patient
  • Problem solver
  • Ability to listen to conflicting views and deal with it productively
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team player
  • Fluent in English and French


Managerial Competencies

  • Ability to plan and organize, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to lead, direct, motivate, coordinate and control the activities of others
