Job Title: QC Manager

Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra

Job Description

  • In- consultation with the Design Manager agree on all test requirements for a particular project
  • Monitor that all relevant design details and material specification required to execute works are as per Contract
  • Monitor in conjunction with the survey team checks and set-out buildings and accuracies of members before final concrete works
  • Monitor and advice the on-site batching of concrete using recommend appropriate options to maintain standards
  • Set-up Milestones, Monitor, Appraise & Collate all test results and verify design standards are achieved through such results
  • Ensure controls like; setting out, first course of blocks, testing of MEP items such as water pipes, testing AC pipes etc
  • Liaise with the site manager to ensure carrying outstage testing as well as final testing and commissioning of all service installations. Notify on any failures which are recorded after testing or deviations from specs and standards
  • Ensure performance of QA teams
  • Ensure inspection methods and procedures are in conformity with MCL Manuals
  • Ensure with QA teams that inspections of all works, activity, materials are carried out with accuracy for compliance to standards and specs.
  • Assess the overall effectiveness of the quality program
  • Determine problem areas and action priorities
  • Determine the optimum amount of effort between the various quality activities
  • In event of mediocrity in works, conducts investigations and propose corrective measures in conjunction with the project manager or site manager.
  • Monitor and Control the keeping of a register of all test records and all test results
  • Manage and Monitor Performance of Quality Team
  • Issue a weekly Consolidated Synopsis Report for all Sites and Operations
  • Issue a monthly Audit Report for all Sites and Operations
  • Ensure better quality at lower costs

Qualification and Requirements

  • A minimum of BSc. Civil Engineering/Architecture and must have completed National Service
  • At least 5 years post qualification working experience
