Job Title: Project Coordinator

Job Location: Bolgatanga, Upper East Region

Job Description


  • Create and strengthen relationships with project stakeholders (beneficiaries, partner organizations and public and private actors)
  • Overview the development, implementation and monitoring of the annual work plans of the administrative, technical-environmental, gender equality and organizational development teams
  • Write various reports related to results-based management
  • Capacity building and advisory support
  • Provide consulting support on all aspects of the development of the cooperative enterprise (during follow-up missions in the field or by distance) related to the follow-up of the training offered and the management tools implemented in order to ensure the consolidation of skills (know-how) and ownership
  • Support and advise the boards and staff of partner organizations in their activities
  • Follow-up and development of work plan and annual budget, business plan, strategic plans
  • Mobilization of members
  • Development of products and services adapted to climate change and to the needs of women and men members
  • Search for business opportunities
  • Organization of meetings
  • Production and analysis of financial statements
  • Monitoring of operations
  • Management of human resources

Qualification and Requirements

  • Minimum of a degree in administration, project management, rural development or equivalent
  • Post-graduate education is an added advantage
  • At 2-4 years of experience
  • Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven experience in managing relationships and activities with various public and private partners
  • Proven experience in project coordination, ideally rural development projects or in relation to cooperative enterprises and farmer-based organizations
  • Basic experience in accounting and procedures
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Commitment to gender equality
  • Ability to communicate
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to analyze and summarize
  • Ability to rally various stakeholders
  • Ability to design and adapt capacity building programs and training tools
  • Ability to mobilize to foster empowerment
  • Proficiency in local languages (Gurune, Kusaal, Kasem) and French, an asset
