Job Summary

Management of personal loans to ensure their performance by the mitigation of the Company’s Credit losses and deployment of innovative interventions on individual customer facilities to prevent further deterioration of the facilities.

Job Description

Duties
  • Complete required daily activities by calling customers who have defaulted on their accounts to ensure that they pay off
  • Set reminders in excel and MIS to remind customers of repayments and schedule meetings for discussions if need be
  • Contact various partners by sending mails and placing phone calls to the respective Heads to provide an update of customers’ details to ensure that they are contacted. Call, visit and arrange meetings with defaulting customers per assigned portfolio
  • Liaise with solicitors and other debt recovery agents to pursue defaulting customers
  • Direct services for the execution of demand letters, writs and any other court process as may become necessary
  • Make informed and effective recommendations for Head, Credit Department and Management's approval on facilities for extension, restructuring and refinancing
  • Monthly analysis of classified accounts, to note the movement
  • Facilitate the deduction of loan repayment process at Controller and Accountant General Department (CAGD) for defaulting customers who still draw salaries from the CAGD payroll
  • Liaise with CAGD to ensure that repayments for all loans disbursed are deducted
  • Ensure that all input forms are properly sorted and sent to CAGD promptly
  • Reconcile reports of data from various Departments and from CAGD
  • Reconcile all loans and contribution data
  • Prepare monthly status update report on the entire portfolio for Head, Credit Department and Management's consideration
  • Prepare monthly report on over and under deductions for Head, Credit Department and Management's consideration


Education
  • Minimum of 1st Degree from a recognized university
  • Master Degree from a recognized institution would be an added advantage

Work History
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a financial industry 2 years of which should have been an appraisal officer/Credit Officer
