Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Petty Cash Management

·   Process petty cash requests

·   Ensure petty cash request are complete and accurate

·   Ensure receipts or invoices are obtained for all transactions

·   Disbursement of petty cash

·   Petty cash reconciliation statements

·   Enter petty cash transactions into ERP

  • Process payment for all due bills
  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
  • Reconcile the group’s bank accounts by compiling and balancing financial information
  • Maintain accounting records of all subsidiaries using balance sheet analysis and general ledger accounts
  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
  • Process balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
  • Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc.
  • Update financial data in databases and ERP to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
  • Coordinate with management and staff to prepare budgets
  • Prepare monthly and yearly closings
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports to the CEO
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) degree
  • 1 to 2 years working experience in a similar position
  • Having a professional certificate (ACCA/CA/CIMA) is an added advantage

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software packages
  • A solid understanding of account and financial reporting principles and practices

  • Detail oriented
