Job Title: Innovation Commercialization Lead

 

Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra

 

Job Summary

  • Reporting into the Innovation Commercial Manager, this role is accountable for translating Diageo’s innovation pipeline into a commercial reality and launching to perfection
  • Working across multiple stakeholders, both in and above market, you will develop commercial plans to ensure our sales teams have all the insight, growth drivers and tools they need to deliver fantastic performance

 

Job Description

  • Innovation is critical part of our P&L and growing– Without it we will not succeed
  • As such there is full internal commitment and intensity to deliver and accelerate the innovation momentum
  • You will lead the commercialization of Innovation projects, delivering required project expectations and value gains as per strategic plan as defined in the project’s objectives/KPI’s e.g. Volume, %GM, NSV and CAAP

  • You can lead a cross-functional team internally, delegate effectively and influence across levels to make things happen
  • You can find solutions for business challenges and ensure internal barriers do not get in the way of external success
  • You have a deep understanding of customer needs, and can use this insight to develop your projects

 

Qualification and Requirements

  • 3-4 years commercial experience –with a proven track record in business delivery
  • The candidate must have front line sales/territory management experience minimum 2-3years
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to demonstrate strong Stakeholder and people management skills and Drive
  • High proficiency in analysis of numbers
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and at pace with multiple projects
  • You must have sufficient gravitas to present to and influence key customers at a senior level internally and externally
  • You must be able to manage execution of plans brilliantly through other people and teams, demonstrate smart KPI setting, clear measurement controls along with execution insight and course correction
  • You must be able to build great relationships and collaboration across the business hierarchy and within channels to be able to move with pace
  • You must be able to lead and inspire the senior management teams to the biggest possibility and align to course corrections where required
  • You need to be able to motivate and energize yourself in the face of challenges and adversity to find ways forward
