Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra


Job Description

  • Ensure producibility, quality, cost efficiency, operating specifications, customer and/or company standard requirements are achieved through the review, definition and implementation of designs for manufacturability, Just-in Time (JIT), and Continuous Flow Manufacturing (CFM) methods Develop and implement manufacturing methods to include: line design, process and material flow, tooling design and definition, integration of quality, creation of assembly documentation, and coordination of affected departments
  • Maintain and establish routings for new and existing products
  • Develop and implement facility layouts
  • Participate in work teams to pursue continuous improvement of processes and the working environment at the facility
  • Create, implement, and optimize processes to improve production and outsourcing capabilities
  • Coordinate deliverables from vendors and various departments (including: Engineering,
  • Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Technical Publications) to support production and outsourcing objectives
  • Work with service and quality groups to track performance of products
  • Work with Vendors, Engineering, and Materials to explore all opportunities to improve product costs to include: process improvements, part procurement, transportation, and packaging


Additional Responsibilities may include

  • Supervise manufacturing personnel as required
  • Generate and maintain schedule for assigned production and outsourcing projects
  • Interact with all departments to enhance mutual understanding of production and outsourcing capabilities, requirements, and status
  • Coordinate and collect competitive quotations, and other information for existing purchasing groups
  • Provide management summary of projects and elevate issues that arise that impact approved implementation schedules or cost targets


Qualification and Requirements

  • Minimum Masters, Bachelor’s or HND degree from an accredited institution in field of Engineering (Industrial, mechanical or electrical) or relevant
  • An MBA is an advantage
  • Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, CAD software
  • Ability to provide consulting on a wide range of manufacturing activities
  • Strong commitment to the team concept
  • Strong communication and capacity building skills
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities in an orderly fashion within a fast-paced environment 
  • Knowledge in electronics assembly operations
