Job Title: Head, Sales & Marketing

 

Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra

 

Job Description

  • Develop Marketing and sales strategies for new and existing products; lead market research programme; field force activities, and management of the marketing budget for the Group and ensure effective implementation
  • Oversee product development and undertake activities to promote various brands within the Group
  • Design, implement and facilitate annual marketing and revenue plan by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions, recommending selling prices, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products, analyse trends and results for the Company
  • Researching to improve product marketability and profitability, improving product packaging and coordinating the development of new products
  • Plan and oversee advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail
  • Lead the prospecting of new business and markets for the Group
  • Undertake risk assessment of all commercial activities and partners; and provide recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors required for business purposes
  • Work with appropriate departments to negotiate sales and contracts
  • Oversee the operations of the Sales and Marketing department
  • Identify and liaise with other media with strong reputation and competitive positions to consolidate the Group’s presence in international markets
  • Ensure company’s brand value and positioning are aligned to the business strategy
  • Lead continuous market analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends to stay abreast with industry developments
  • Develop and implement media campaigns and communication strategy to build company’s brand and image
  • Preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditure, analyzing variance and initiating corrective actions
  • Coordinate client accounts and corporate relationships
  • Prepare and submit periodic performance and sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
  • Lead and manage all PR related activities of the Group
  • Liaise with appropriate departments to direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs and department
  • Identifying marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirement, competitor’s strength and weaknesses and establishing market share
  • Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging; coordinating new product development

 

Qualification and Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration
  • Master’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration will be an added advantage
  • Professional qualification - CIM/ CMMP/PCM
  • At leastfive (5) years of related experience with 2 years in managerial role
