Job Location:Accra, Greater Accra

 

Job Description

  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Develop, implement, and   ensure   compliance   with   internal   financial   and accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all  statutory  requirements  of  the  organization are met including
  • Withholding Payments, Income Tax, Goods and Services Tax
  • Promote and develop external relationships with e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations such as Ghana Revenue Authority
  • Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit with the approved external auditor.
  • Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions
  • Develop  and  maintain  financial  accounting  systems  for  cash  management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash
  • Reconcile bank and investment accounts and manage cash flow
  • Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting as compared to budget
  • Manage  the  cash  flow  and  prepare  cash  flow  forecasts in accordance with company policy
  • Manage   the   bookkeeping   function   using   the   ERP   Ebizframe/TALLY ,   including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
  • Develop  and  implement  policies  and  procedures  as  required to ensure that personnel
  • and financial information
  • Prepare all payroll functions to ensure that employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist with the negotiations and manage the employee insurance and benefits plans
  • Process and submit statutory and benefits remittances on time
  • Ensure that financial statements are reliable. GCnet Declaration and payment on timely basis
  • Responsible for ensuring that any variation against the budget is identified and correctly reported to the Management
  • Prepare dealership loan recoupment and accounting for dealers margins
  • BRV,BOST,PDM and Fuel Marking margin accounting on monthly basis
  • Freight and Haulage apportionment and accrual on monthly basis
  • Set, reviews and approve customer orders and set up credit limit and creditors for Customers
  • Satisfy all requests for financial information from external auditors, tax authorities and other regulatory bodies
  • Performing any other functions as requested by the General Manager

 

Qualification and Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelors and/or Masters  or  MBA  in  Finance,  Accounting  or Economics from a competitive university
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified is a must
  • At least 5-10 years working in a similar role in a similar field
  • Must be reliable and possess high integrity
  • International experience is preferred
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
