Job Summary

Supervises activities on the process floor to ensure strict adherence to SOP for all process points and to optimize personnel output for maximum productivity.

Job Description

Reports To: Management


  • Supervise the work of factory hands and ensures that they perform their duties efficiently.
  • Coordinate the activities of factory hands for each production line and process
  • Coordinate all production process activities and ensures that there is what is needed to guarantee high production outputs for each line
  • Effectively supervise the application of production process equipment by appropriate persons at the right time in the production process flow
  • To keep proper records of all production process points personnel for each production process run.
  • Help and support other officers check, clean and maintain equipment
  • Train, organise and supervise workers and contractors
  • Ensure that food safety, health and safety, and other regulations are complied with
  • Perform any other function that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Qualification and Requirements

  • HND in Catering and/or Food Technology from a recognized institution in Ghana.
  • Must have firsthand experience and knowledge in the application of HACCP principles in the area of food hygiene, safety regulations, etc.

Experience and Person Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in food preparation and processing
  • Must possess good communication skills
  • Excellent human relations
  • Excellent physical condition and health
  • Speak Twi (Akuapem) and English
  • Ability to also speak Guan is a plus.
  • Must be a Ghanaian

Competences, Skills and knowledge

  • Knowledge of how to ensure and maintain highest hygiene standards for all production process factory personnel
  • Experience with food processing machinery
  • Understanding of time, temperature, handling conditions, measures and weights, and how they affect food preparation processes and products
  • Understanding of food safety, market certification and quality requirements
  • Knowledge of health, safety and employment regulations
  • The ability to recruit, train and manage staff.

Working conditions

  • Usually work between eight and 10 hours a day including weekends
  • Work on both day and night shift schedules
  • Live within the close environs of the production facility
