  • Recognize the needs of the tertiary institutions and provide detailed information to the institutions about the technical specifications of the software offered by the company
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets
  • Performs sales duties, including but not limited to: identifying sales prospects and contacting them, generating and following up on leads and referrals; screening deals for viability; preparing sales presentations and proposals; participating in the development of sales materials; proactively identifying and resolving client concerns; preparing reports as needed, providing internal team with information required to deploy software, and working with internal team to facilitate the smooth flow of business and excellent customer service
  • Preparing and delivering customer presentations and demonstrations of the software, articulately and confidently
  • Advising on software features and how they can be applied to assist in a variety of contexts such as students records, admissions, library, e-learning and other specialist areas
  • Networking with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and software upgrades
  • Handling software issues and bugs by referring them to the technical team
  • Responding to tender documents, writing proposals, reports and supporting literature
  • Other duties as required


Qualification and Requirements
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree, with a concentration in business, marketing and/or communications preferred. Experience in sales of software products in the educational industry is a plus
  • Ability to speak and write French is a plus
  • Licensed Driver 3+ years experience as a successful sales executive in the IT Industry preferred, with at least 3 years of consistent and on-plan, mid to high ticket revenue delivery, and a minimum of 2 years as a top performer in a sales organization.
  • Extensive network of solid business contacts in industry strongly preferred
  • Track record of success in enhancing industry presence, expanding market share, developing and sustaining effective professional relationships, understanding the market and the players in it, and driving business in that market based on company guidelines and processes
  • Proven success in prospecting for business
  • Demonstrated history of obtaining new business and retaining current customer base while balancing customer needs and company's requirements
  • Excellent networking, research, negotiation, closing, interpersonal, problem solving, presentation, written and verbal communications, and business skills
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of target customers, existing competitors in the marketplace, and industry trends that may impact a buying decisions
  • Track record of maintaining professional demeanor and diplomacy, adapting well to change, meeting deadlines, and functioning well under pressure
  • Able to travel for business reasons as appropriate
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
