Job Title: Director of Finance & Operations

Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra

Job Description

  • Streamlining of operations while supervising the build of our internal software platform from a content and process perspective
  • Close collaboration with the founder of the Firm in the development of fundraising decks and engagement of potential investors
  • Leadership of investor relations, especially when it comes to reporting and follow-up negotiations
  • Managing relationship with our accounting service provider, especially when it comes to annual filings, consolidation and management reporting along core KPIs
  • Development and implementation of full pricing strategy in the company, including full ownership of client budgets
  • Supervision of team members, especially the financial administrator and other finance-related positions (at least 2-3 reporting lines)
  • Designing and implementing an annual and quarterly budgeting process for management to jointly decide on top and bottom line goals for the
  • respective period
  • Administration of the Firm’s cashflow tracking tool and improvement of payments processes, especially for international transactions
  • Supervision of third-party vendor relationships and re-sourcing of vendors where necessary
  • Preparation and moderation of board meetings in close collaboration with the founder of the Firm on a quarterly basis
  • Co-lead the internationalization of the Firm, especially when it comes to the opening of new offices and corresponding finance strategy

Qualification and Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration or Finance
  • At least 5-7 years of work experience in finance- and operations-related roles
  • Confident communicator, able to generate buy-in from others
  • A “company builder” with a strong passion for early-stage companies
  • Highly experienced in financial business analysis
  • Very good command of all MS Office applications, especially Powerpoint and Excel
  • Creative, flexible and entrepreneurial mindset with the willingness to shape ideas/projects
  • Excellent written and oral skills in the English language; other languages such as French are a plus
  • Familiar with Ghanaian accounting requirements – CA qualification highly preferred
