Job Title: Credit Officer


Job Location: Kumasi (Suame), Ashanti Region



Job Description

  • Verifying and analyzing Bank statements
  • Conducting credit bureau search and Bank of Ghana collateral search
  • Reviewing and evaluating credit request in accordance with Izwe loans policies
  • Meeting with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and answering questions about the process
  • Reviewing and updating loan files
  • Submitting completed files to Senior Credit analyst
  • Ensuring that the institution’s promise of disbursing off-payroll loans within 72 hours is achieved
  • Maintaining accurate records of loan applicants
  • Managing all credit files and customer information
  • Registration of vehicles on Izwe loans collateral register
  • Registration of collaterals on Bank of Ghana collateral registry system
  • Ensuring that all cheques are registered in the cheque register and submitted to collections
  • Completion of smartsheet for each case
  •  Population of Bank of Ghana returns template on collaterals
  • Ensuring that the information on cheques are accurate in all cases
  • Ensuring that all disbursed have strictly met all pre-disbursement requirements
  • Developing and implementing relationship management strategies that will enhance the life time value of clients in assigned segment
  • Liaising with sales officers to ensure clients are served satisfactorily
  • Preparing and submitting monthly reports to Senior Credit Officer
  • Preparing and submitting applications to Senior Credit Officer
  • Providing for client service in a friendly and respectful manner to positively impact the client’s experience
  • Attending to all client requests in a timely manner that exceeds client expectations
  • Attending to all client complaints and ensure that complaints are addressed appropriately to maintain customer satisfaction
  • Participating in institutional efforts aimed at improving general service delivery
  • Conducting duties according to agreed service delivery standards



Qualification and Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree o Higher National Diploma
  • Must be a resident of Kumasi and must know the Kumasi terrain very well
  • Good selling and persuasive abilities; previous experience in similar role in a reputable institution would be advantageous
  • Good analytical skills
  • A demonstrable network of potential clients ready to on-board
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good team working abilities
