Job Description


This is a full time position in a reputable company with the vision of becoming Ghana’s preferred Travel and Tour Operator by constantly improving, evolving and refining our services to meet our client’s specific needs. The Business/Operations Manager will be responsible for organizing, directing and controlling the operations the Company.  In addition, He/She will be responsible for meeting the strategic objectives of the company. This includes accurately forecasting business and market needs, formulating and implementing sales strategy and achieving sales targets, while ensuring high customer satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include understanding market requirements, product capabilities and future industry developments and trends. The successful candidate must be solution driven

Reports to: He/She reports directly to the Director of the Company

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Help establish a strong industry brand and implement innovative ideas for achieving new business
  • Prepare and manage budgets; ensure daily reconciliation and cash management; and maintain accurate financial/statistical records
  • Provide superior customer service to clients and ensure customer complaints are successfully addressed
  • Innovate, establish and manage third party/strategic partnerships; service innovation;
  • Ensure efficient operations by coordinating all business activities and managing company assets
  • Communicate effectively, and provide timely reports to directors.
  • Participate in the preparation and review of strategic plan
  • Promote and market the company’s products;
  • All other duties that may be assigned


Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Degree, preferably BSc Tourism/Admin/Humanities or Liberal Arts degree
  • At least 3 years’ industry experience in a similar role, two (2) of which should be in the last four (4) years with an IATA approved agency or airline
  • At least 2 years working experience of Amadeus GDS
  • Should have completed a certified ticketing course or IATA/ UFTA Diploma certification/experience with IATA approved agency or airline a plus
  • Strong written verbal communication skills interpersonal, and record keeping
  • Innovative, analytical with strong team-building skills
  • Flexible, willing to travel within the country, able to work long hours, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to multitask, use initiative, take charge and lead teams
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the tourism industry
  • Marketing and selling skills
