Job Title: Administrator

Job Description

  • Plan, direct, supervise and coordinate work activities of staff and subordinates 
  • Maintain records concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates 
  • Prepare daily and monthly credit sales report 
  • Prepare monthly staff salaries slip for payment 
  • Conduct orientation programmes for new employees 
  • Administer salaries and work out leave entitlements 
  • Be involved in staff training and development, the preparation of job descriptions, staff assessments and promotions 
  • Prepare annual estimates of expenditure, maintain budgetary and inventory controls and make recommendations to management 
  • Maintain management information systems (manual or computerised) 
  • Review and answer correspondence 
  • Monitoring and evaluation and reporting on all staff duties 
  • Coordinate overall programme implementation by organisation to ensure key performance indicators are met and programme impact is in line with strategy 
  • Work with Finance staff to ensure financial information is up to date, variances are identified and recommendations for action made 
  • Able to supervise and reliable


Qualification and Requirements

  • A minimum of a First Degree or higher qualification in related field
  • At least 3 years’ work experience
  • Experience in business management, NGO management and administration
  • Aptitude for working with computers 
  • Good organisation skills 
  • Be able to discharge and manage financial information with ease 
  • Hardworking and Must possess integrity 
  • Ability to prioritise and plan effectively 
  • Presentation skills 
  • Must be a good communicator 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English 
  • Being a bilingual in French must be an advantage
