Job Title: Business Development Executive 

 

Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra

 

Job Description

  • Sell the Company's products (Software /Hardware) and related professional services by prospecting for new Clients and engaging with the new & existing Clients' decision-making unit (DMU) for faster deal close
  • Prepare and present software demos to prospective/existing clients on the value the selected solutions to the Clients including handling objections, project scope, and negotiating pricing
  • Develop and maintain new customers by working with Software implementation Consultants to ensure Clients are satisfied with their purchase
  • Build enduring relationships with Clients by carefully selecting software/hardware solutions that suit and add value to their businesses as well as addressing customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Have the confidence to engage with C-level Executives (e.g. CEO, CFO, COO, CIO, CHRO, etc.) to understand industry imperatives, develop workable business scenarios and solutions to address such scenarios
  • Prepare quality and responsive documentation in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Expression of Interest (EOI), etc
  • Take and maintain product-specific certification exams required by Strategic Business Partners to deepen product/technology knowledge to address customers’ needs confidently and profitably
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales and other performance targets
  • Submit monthly meaningful performance reports on sales activities highlighting performance against KPIs

 

Qualification and Requirements

  • A minimum of a university degree in Sales/Marketing, Computer Science or other business fields
  • 3-5 years work experience in selling Software, Telecom equipment, or other complex technology equipment is a must
  • Sales craft
  • Must be less than 35 years old
  • Practical working knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office Suite especially Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience in proposal writing and respond to RFPs, EOIs and tenders is an added advantage
  • Commitment to lifelong learning by constantly updating knowledge using cutting-edge online learning tools and MOOCs
  • This job requires that you write and pass an aptitude test to be considered for an interview
