Job Title: Admin/Accounts Officer

 

Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra

 

Job Description

  • Compiles and maintains records of business transactions and office activities of establishment, performing variety of following or similar clerical duties and utilizing knowledge of systems or procedures: Copies data and compiles records and reports
  • Tabulates and posts data in record books
  • Computes wages, taxes, premiums, commissions, and payments
  • Records orders for merchandise or service
  • Gives information to and interviews customers, claimants, employees, and sales personnel
  • Receives, counts, and pays out cash
  • Prepares, issues, and sends out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, statements, and checks
  • Prepares stock inventory
  • Adjusts complaints
  • Operates office machines, such as computer, typewriter, adding, calculating, and duplicating machines
  • Opens and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail
  • May take dictation
  • May greet and assist visitors
  • May prepare payroll
  • May keep books
  • May purchase supplies
  • May operate computer terminal to input and retrieve data 
  • As a cost estimator, is responsible for reviewing company’s cost structure and pricing policies 
  • Providing clients with job quotes and receipts
  • Providing cost inputs for use by management for the purpose of planning, organizing and scheduling work
  • Analyzing documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates 
  • Communicating with other departments and management to ensure that all department goals and responsibilities are completed efficiently, accurately on time
  • Conducting initial price negotiations, set-up potential stocking programs and assist the volume discount
  • Liaising with sales, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss estimates and resolve issues
  • Maintaining estimating standards and procedures
  • Performing job analysis

 

Qualification and Requirements

  • A minimum of a degree in a business-related field Work experience and skills 
  • At least two years Printing industry experience ; Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as web browsers; Good analytical and conceptual skills
  • Proven problem-solving and decision making skill ; Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Candidates who can speak ewe would have an added advantage
