Job Title: Finance Manager


Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra


Job Summary

  • The Finance Manager is responsible for maintaining the financial health of the firm. The role holder will be responsible for analyzing financial activities and subsequently provide advice and guidance to top management on financial plans. The goal of this role is to enable Board of Directors make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives


Job Description

  • Provides financial reports and interprets financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action
  • Provide treasury and budgeting management services
  • Experience in dealing with local and international banks
  • Advises on investment activities and strategies
  • Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting, and/or payroll
  • Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues
  • Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports
  • Directs the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures
  • Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records
  • Directs and participates in cost analyses and rate studies
  • Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls
  • Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems
  • Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting
  • Reviews financial statements with management personnel
  • Perform in line with industry best practice and standards
  • Any other duties to be assigned by immediate Supervisor or management in line with the Company’s operations


Qualification and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified
  • At least 7+ years of direct experience                                      
  • Advanced Data Analysis and Excel Skills
  • Good diplomatic, interpersonal skills and with the ability to communicate effectively and influence at different levels
  • A commitment to service delivery and achieving results
  • Ability to work under pressure with the minimum of direction
  • Good networking skills, with the ability to “open doors"
