RMG Ghana Limited seeks the services of an Account Officer

 

Job Title: Account Officer

 

Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra

 

Reports To: Chief Accountant

 

Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation of Annual Financial reports
  • Assist in the preparation of Annual Budget
  • Issuing of pick list and filling of credit approvals
  • Generating of sales invoices
  • Updating customer’s ledgers daily with receipts
  • Weekly reconciliation with the company’s sales teams
  • Preparation of monthly debtor’s report ensuring all receipts are booked
  • Monitors accounts receivables to ensure that payments are received within 30 days of invoicing
  • Liaising with customers to resolve issues relating to sales and receipts
  • Reconciliation of monthly sales and inventory movement
  • Bank Reconciliation Statements
  • Provides assistance with monthly payroll administration
  • Prepares and distribute monthly pay-slips to staff
  • Review supporting document on imprest retirement
  • Assist in stocktaking
  • Writing bank letters
  • Filling and indexing of documents
  • Assist in the compilation, payments, filling of returns for monthly statutory deductions ie Withholding taxes, PAYE, SSNIT, Provident Fund, Tiers 2 contributions etc
  • Any other assigned duties

 

Qualification and Requirements

  • A minimum of a University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics in addition to Part qualification from Reputable Professional Accounting Bodies ( ACCA, CIMA, CA)
  • HND in Accounting, in addition to Part Qualification from Reputable Accounting Bodies ( CA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • A minimum of 2 - 3 years professional working experience in a Competitive business environment
  • Experience in an Agricultural Institution is an advantage

Profile

  • Must have adept knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Must be knowledgeable and proficient in the use of SAP, Tally, Excel and other Accounting software
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be extremely efficient and results-oriented
  • Must be highly dependable and reliable at all times
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be trustworthy and be capable of handling confidential information
  • Must have effective time management skills and be able to meet all deadlines despite professional challenges
