A Premier Investment Banking (Asset Management) Firm in Ghana invites applications for the role of Deputy Managing Director.


Job Title: Deputy Managing Director


Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra


Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage firm’s asset under management (AUM)
  • Build and manage a team
  • Perform financial analysis and build financial models
  • Business development through networking and direct marketing with prospective clients
  • Overseeing and creating new products to suit the general strategy
  • Train and groom staff to share vision and build capacity to execute their roles

Key Functions

  • Senior leadership role, leading teams, working on transactions and advisory assignments
  • Develop relationship with Senior Executive and our institutions, clients and prospects
  • Lead and participate in pitching and manage close complex financial transactions
  • Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns and personally following policies and procedures as defined
  • Accountable for always doing the right thing for customer experience while operating within the firms risk appetite, achieving results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring and reporting risks of all types
  • Providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback
  • Developing employees to their fullest potential by providing challenging opportunities, developing talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength, and succession planning


Qualification and Requirements

  • MBA from and accredited University
  • CFA
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University
  • GSE Certification
  • 5-10 years industry experience
  • Proven track record of originating new business opportunities and closing deals
  • Exceptional work ethics and able to accommodate a demanding profession
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask
  • General understanding of business operations
  • Proven leadership and management qualities and a high level of integrity
  • Excellent business analytic and quantitative skills combined with outstanding judgement
  • Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership
