Straight out of university, she landed her National Service slot at Forget Me Not, a buzzing, fast-paced tech firm known for its high performance and low patience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She adjusted quickly. Always the first to show up. Took initiative. Asked to join meetings, she wasn\u2019t even required to attend. She built vibrant dashboards for reports no one requested. Her energy lit up the office, and her confidence was palpable.<strong> <\/strong>It outshined the other NSS persons.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By the sixth month, she was convinced she\u2019d be retained after NSS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019d be crazy not to keep me,\u201d she whispered to a colleague after nailing another presentation during lunch break..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what Salomey didn\u2019t know\u2026 was that the office was whispering back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Buzz She Missed.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While Salomey walked fast and talked faster, the rest of the team\u2026 observed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They noticed she rarely acknowledged the receptionist.
