Jobberman Ghana mentors young people at Blazing Trails Phase IV launch and Career Fair

Jobberman Ghana participated in the recent launch of Blazing Trails Phase IV and Career Fair held at the British Council. The Blazing Trails programme is a unique partnership between the British Council and Barclays Bank, which provides stepping stones for fresh graduates to secure a dream job and for aspiring young entrepreneurs to start or build a business.

The event was in two session; a brief launch of the fourth phase of the Blazing Trails programme, which saw presentations and speeches from  personalities and stakeholders connected to the Blazing Trails programme. There was also a panel discuss on the topic, “Building Capacity for young people; the right approach to solving unemployment in Ghana. On the panel were Dr. Alhassan Andani (MD Stanbic Bank),  Mabel Simpson (MSimps), Dr Etse Sikanu (University of Ghana) and Nadia Takyiwaa Mensah (Six Sense Manifesto)

There was also a Career Fair aimed at providing a platform for both employers and job seekers to engage in order to advance the employability and skills development agenda.

During the career fair, the Jobberman Ghana team used the opportunity to interact with participants, who asked various questions relating to internship opportunities, National Service, part-time and full-time jobs. Some participants had their CV’s reviewed for them by Jobberman team.

Other companies such as Airtel Ghana, Axis Human Capital, Vivo Energy,  Bufia Holdings, Barclays Bank, Groupe Nduom, MODEC Ghana also concurrently exhibited their products and services to participants.
