Job Title: Dump Trucks & Tyre Equipment Supervisor/Trainer - (CU)
Location: Damang

Purpose of the Job:
The Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) Department is seeking to employ a dedicated, experienced and self motivated individual to fill the position of Supervisor/Trainer Dump Trucks & Ancillary. Reporting to the Unit Manager HME Maintenance, the incumbent shall be responsible for training and supervising the effective management of CAT Fleet Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) and systems for higher equipment availability and performance, increased productivity, equipment reliability and operational profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) are maintained and positioned in line with operational requirements and objectives

• Train and mentor National employees within a specific period of time

• Implementing effective cost management and financial performance monitoring systems

• Establishing and maintaining high performance and cohesive teamwork

• Maintaining a safe and friendly environment

• Ensuring that effective engineering standards and procedures are developed and implemented in compliance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements

• Review and evaluate effectiveness of succession planning interventions and report same on monthly basis to Engineering Manager

• Perform skills audit to determine future talent needs and assist to identify and recruit best potential talent

• Map gaps against design solutions to facilitate and monitor competency training

• Review and evaluate the effectiveness of skills development program and show a monthly report of progress against plan and corrective actions taken if there are deviations

• Ensure the achievement of high equipment availability within standards

• Ensure that Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) are maintained in line with operational requirements and objectives

• Create a culture of performance, delivery and service in the team e.g. create the heroes of delivery

Required Skills or Experience

• A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised Institution

• A minimum of eight (8) years experience in mining trucks and Ancillary maintenance

• Experience on Liebherr O&K Excavators will be an advantage

• Leadership in managing the HME maintenance function of a medium to large company

• Experienced in safe lifting practices

• Project management skills

• SAP Proficiency

• Good analytical thinking with Business acumen

• Good interpersonal skills and Customer orientated

• Good communication and negotiation skills
